One of the most exciting things about working with an indie film is that it’s a clean slate; you can start from scratch, building a mood and iconography all from your own design. I got that opportunity working on Flora, starting with only a title treatment. The 20s-set thriller was a fun exercise in texture and tone, and the final product gave exactly the dreamy, foreboding feeling we were looking for.
